Professional Ceramic Coating Installer In Louisville, KY

Keep Your Paint / Glass / Wheels Shiny and Protected

What Is A Ceramic Coating?

The Highest Level of paint protection.

Unlike the complimentary spray wax that you get with our exterior services, that only last a few weeks. The ceramic coating is a semi-permanent liquid layer that bonds to the vehicles surface. In order to better preserve the paint below, it will absorb weather elements including rain, mud, and snow, earning it the nickname "sacrificial" layer of protection.

The Benefits of a Ceramic Coating

There are a lot of coating companies that make some pretty big claims of what it can do. Although there’s some truth to the claims.

Here are some benefits you actually receive with a coating:

  • Produces the most durable protection that lasts between 3 to 5 years

  • You only need to apply it once (and not every 3 months like other forms of protection)

  • Creates a deep level of gloss that’s incomparable to other forms of protection like wax or sealant

  • Provides unmatched hydrophobic properties that keeps your car cleaner and makes it easier to wash

While it’s not required to Polish the paint before the coating is installed, we do highly recommend getting either our Level 1 or Level 2 paint polish to really make your car shine like no other. Without a one of our Polishing services we cannot guarantee you will get the full duration the coating offers or the Gloss levels.

Generally speaking, the more durable the coating is—for instance, a 1 year coating vs a 9 year coating—the more difficult it is to install. The installation process may be considerably impacted by weather conditions, therefore you must be mindful that when it's hot, cold, or humid, various coatings respond differently. Furthermore, if you have spent more than three days in Louisville, you are aware that the weather is always shifting.

Common Myths About Ceramic Coatings

Yes, coatings are strong and long-lasting, but that doesn't imply you can abuse your car as much you want and assume the coating will protect it.

It has its limitations, and it's critical to be aware of what the ceramic coating is capable of. Customers frequently overestimate the coating's ability to preserve their vehicles, which leaves them unhappy when swirls or etchings appear in the paint.

Your paint won't be scratch-proof because of the coating. When we state the coating will withstand light swirls and scratches, we really do mean extremely light swirls and scratches that might be caused when washing or drying the car correctly. The paint will be scratched if you rub it with a dry, filthy wash mitt. The paint will be scratched if you drag your hand or leg across it harshly.

The coating will not protect your paint from rock chips. No amount of wax or ceramic coating, or even many layers of protection, will be able to stop a rock from striking your car.

To increase the coating's longevity, maintenance is needed. If you don't take care of the coating, it will deteriorate over time and not have the intended lifespan, much like many other things in life.

For the coating to be as durable as possible, it must be properly washed, dried, and boosted. If it isn't properly maintained, a coating that is supposed to last for 6 years may only last 3 years.

It all comes down to the condition of the vehicle. Generally speaking, it can take between 4 to 8 hours to complete.

When can I wash my car after the coating is installed?

While the coating is curing, the vehicle should not get wet for the first 48 hours. And after the first 48 hours have passed, we recommend the vehicle not be washed for at least 2 weeks. We also offer a 1 free complimentary wash after 2 weeks so that we can check on the coating.

Can I just get the coating installed without the prep work or paint correction?

While it’s not required to Polish the paint before the coating is installed, we do highly recommend getting either our Level 1 or Level 2 paint polish to really make your car shine like no other. Without a one of our Polishing services we cannot guarantee you will get the full duration the coating offers or the Gloss levels.
